The Design

Heavy Product – Multiple Merchandising Options

The package would need to not only hold, protect and display the relatively heavy filters, it also needed versatility to stand independently or hang on a peg wall.

The Custom Solution

With custom cavities and a proven tri-fold design, our engineering team was able to develop a plastic clamshell package that would satisfy every requirement.

Our client knew that many consumers looking for replacement filters often shop with a picture (or sample) of their current filter to ensure they purchase the same-size replacement. Given this, using a clear package that displayed the filters and other information was critical.

Our designers created custom cavities in both single and double packs that would hold the filters in place with minimal movement.

Hang or Stand

Trifold Design Allows for Both

Unsure of whether the filters would be merchandised hanging on peg walls or sitting on shelves, the clamshell package would need to feature both options. A proven trifold design was chosen due to the relatively heavy weight of the filters.

The Complete Line

With a winning design in place, the VisiPak team was able to create both single and double packs across a number of different sized filters. Home Depot benefitted with a multi-functional package that was made in the USA.
